i was talking about this yesterday because of things happening;

we need to stop blaming victims for ‘not doing enough’ to prevent hate. it’s never your fault if you get hate! of course, turning anon off and blocking people is a good idea, but never believe what they send is your fault. it’s the fault of the person sending it, and thus, they should be the ones taught to stop, not shown that people will just delete their accounts/blogs, rewarding the hater with exactly what they want.

i talked with someone who sent me hate the other day, and i found out they had done it because they felt nobody cared about them and whenever they had tried to be nice people threw it back in their face. i felt sad about it, but you know. there’s no excuse for it, even that.

you have to keep trying, no matter how people treat you for it. those people aren’t worth your time, and certainly not worth you changing your attitude for.
